DIVHERSIFY #3

The Divhersify #3 16th June featured a lively group of emerging artists, professionals and a tuned in audience, at VHC Pune. "The event's highlight was the amazing interaction, between the artists and the focus session by The Women Of Vision" states Ananya Roy, heading Divhersify. FEMWAV is ramping up to launch Divhersify events in Indian cities this year, amplifying the movement and empowerment action within.

As artist spotlight, we featured Priyanka Gore and Darshana Suresh, both indie singers based in Pune, the former wielding an acoustic guitar and the latter trained on the piano. Their songs and little stories. The event, small yet passionate, was hosted by VHC (art gallery and diner) facilitating a meeting ground for female and non-binary talent to interact and engage. Featured artists included beatboxer Manasi Nene, Simran Ahuja, Sera Chitgopar and Kashmira Khot. A focus session conducted by Sheeja Shaju and Vikaash Kripallani (The Women Of Vision) dealt with "overcoming personal barriers first" and how artists can imagine, plan and strategize their future careers. The entire event was documented on video by Prajakta Goel.

FEMWAV is grateful for the support by the venue, the artists, The Women Of Vision and the audience. Together, making a local impact is possible, as first steps towards achieving safe and equal spaces...
