FEMSOUND!
FEMSOUND is an open-source archive (540 MB of royalty free sounds, synthesized passages, ambience, beats, vintage samples, noise and drum-hits) made from sounds assimilated and edited from more than 50 female and male composers - dead and living, spanning four decades - 1970s to 2020. The package also contains Midi files with musical information (melodies, riffs, chords, corals etc) of western classical composers. Curated, edited and compiled by FEMWAV, the assembly of sounds are organised in various folders. The overall content is made of many sounds, new and old, short or long, tuned, untuned, acoustic, synthetic and at times far-out. An audible history of sorts! We encourage you to reinterpret, remix, reuse and share the sounds as open-source material in your music, DJ sets and compositions.
