Old Friends in New Places

As Fembot5, we always laboured to keep the much-needed conversation about women in Indian electronic music alive. We presented research-based findings that revealed the deeply prohibitive and repressive nature of electronic music community as it stands.

Now more than ever, this conversation needs to gain momentum by compounding various marginalised narratives to affect definitive change. Our team hopes to aid and fortify existing movements and provide a safe haven filled with opportunities for trans women, cis women, and people that live outside the binary who wish to participate in electronic music in whatever capacity.

This augmentation has given way to a new, and we hope more fitting, name, as well as a new home for this community: FEMWAV.com.
